Microsoft mcap hits record $2.59-tn as shares end at all-time high
Microsoft shares ended at a record-high on Thursday, closing $10.76/share higher at $348.10/share. The 3.19% rise in Microsoft's share value took the company's market capitalisation (mcap) to an all-time high of $2.59 trillion as market optimism about prospects of AI helped buoy the tech giant's stock. Microsoft shares had hit their previous record-high of $343.11/share on November 19, 2021.
