Microsoft offers up to 9 months of severance pay to fired employees: Report

Tech giant Microsoft is offering up to 39 weeks (nearly 9 months) of base salary as severance pay to employees who are being laid off, as per severance offers reviewed by Business Insider. Based on seniority and tenure, the package for US employees includes a minimum of 60 days of base pay. Microsoft recently announced 4,800 job cuts.
