Microsoft pushes back against US green card suspension

Microsoft disputed the Trump administration's decision to suspend it from a green card sponsorship programme, saying 80% of its H-1B filings extend current employees' status. VP JD Vance accused Microsoft of hiring 6,300 H-1B workers while laying off 6,000 Americans. Microsoft said new H-1B hires equal only 1% of its US workforce.
