Microsoft to let users pause Windows 11 updates indefinitely, 35 days at a time

Microsoft has announced it will allow Windows 11 users to pause updates indefinitely. The feature, rolling out to Windows Insiders, lets users halt updates for up to 35 days at a time, after which they can extend the pause or resume updates. There is no limit on how many times the pause can be reset.
