Microsoft workers protest Jack Ma-backed '996' China work culture

A group of Microsoft and GitHub employees published a letter supporting project '996.ICU' which protests 9 am to 9 pm, six days a week (996) work culture in Chinese technology firms. The project calls on firms to adhere to Chinese labour laws which reportedly limit workers to 40 hours a week. Earlier, Alibaba's billionaire Co-founder Jack Ma defended '996' culture.
