Migrant worker lynched on suspicion of being Bangladeshi in Odisha
A 30-year-old migrant labourer, Juel Sheikh, from West Bengal, was lynched in Odisha's Sambalpur after being accused of being an illegal Bangladeshi immigrant. Four to five unidentified men confronted labourers at a tea shop, demanded identity documents, and, despite valid IDs being shown, assaulted them. While others escaped, the assailants caught hold of Sheikh and brutally thrashed him.
