Migrants take welfare at unacceptable rates: US on visa order

US Department of State took to X to justify a new order under which it has banned immigrant visa processing from 75 countries. It said that the order applies to migrants who "take welfare from American people at unacceptable rates." It added, "The freeze will remain active until US can ensure that new immigrants won't extract wealth from American people."
