Military deployed as 13 killed in anti-tax protests in Kenya

Thirteen people have reportedly died in Kenya following violent anti-tax hike protests. The protests, which began peacefully last week, escalated when demonstrators ransacked parliament and police opened fire. Parts of parliament were set ablaze, leading President William Ruto's government to deploy the military. The youth-led rallies spread across the country, including the capital, Nairobi.
