Uttarakhand Minister Subodh Uniyal confronted singer Daler Mehndi on stage during a live performance in Tehri over alleged alcohol consumption. Uniyal said, "There's a Durga Mata programme for Navratri, and you're singing...after drinking alcohol." "We called you so...our people could be entertained. Aap bewakoof bana rahe hain humein...You can’t even speak properly...how'll you sing?" he asked.
