Minor girl's kidnapping sparks communal tensions in Haridwar

Communal tensions were sparked in Badi Teep village of Haridwar in Uttarakhand after a 15-year-old girl was allegedly abducted by a man, whom police identified as Wajid. According to an FIR filed by one policeman, nearly 100 people entered the suspect's house and vandalised it. Searches were conducted at railway stations, bus stations and nearby villages to locate the minor.
