Mirabai Chanu clinches India's 1st gold medal at CWG 2022, lifts record 201 kg

Indian weightlifter Mirabai Chanu today clinched India's first gold medal at Commonwealth Games (CWG) 2022. The 27-year-old lifted a total of 201 kg, with 88 kg in snatch and 113 kg in clean and jerk. With this, she set a new Commonwealth Games record in women's 49-kg category. Coincidentally, Mirabai had bagged India's first gold at CWG 2018 as well.
