Mirza Ghalib was born on this day

Indian poet, Mirza Asadullah Baig Khan, famously known as Mirza Ghalib, was born on December 27, 1797, in Agra. A prominent Urdu and Persian poet, Ghalib had started writing poetry before the age of 13. He was appointed as the poet tutor of Emperor Bahadur Shah Zafar II in 1854, who had also bestowed the title of "Dabir-ul-Mulk" on him.
