Misleading claim of Google sunsetting Gmail in August 2024

Contrary to viral claim, Google is not sunsetting Gmail in August 2024. The DFRAC team found the claim to be misleading. Gmail has discontinued its HTML-only version in January 2024, however, the standard @gmail service will continue to operate as usual. Therefore, the claim was found to be misleading.
