Miss Universe Organization to cut ties with Indonesian franchisee

Miss Universe Organization (MUO) will sever its contract with Indonesian franchisee PT Capella Swastika and its director Poppy Capella, who also holds licence for Miss Universe Malaysia. This year's Malaysia pageant will also be cancelled. MUO said its priority is women's safety. Recently, Indonesian contestants accused organisers of sexual harassment, saying they were photographed topless.
