French startup Mistral AI launched a new hybrid model called Small 4, optimised for general chat, coding, agentic tasks, and complex reasoning. The model will combine capabilities of Mistral's other flagship models into a single, versatile model. Small 4 reduces end-to-end completion time by 40% and can handle requests three times more efficiently than its predecessor, Small 3, Mistral said.
