MIT researchers build an underwater camera powered by sound

The researchers at MIT have created a battery-free and wireless underwater camera to image the underwater world. Powered by underwater sound, the camera captures colour images at ultra-low power and transmits them wirelessly to a remote receiver. They claim their camera consumes 1,00,000 times less energy than state-of-the-art low-power underwater imaging systems.
