A new MIT study has found that AI chatbots like ChatGPT, Gemini and Grok can trigger "delusional spiraling" in users, making them believe in things that aren't actually true by agreeing with whatever they say. In one case, a US-based man spent 300 hours believing he'd invented a groundbreaking maths formula after ChatGPT told him so.
