Mizoram farmer to receive UN FAO award for strawberry farming

ZT Lalrithangi, a former teacher from Sangau, Mizoram, will receive a UN FAO award in Rome (Oct 12–16) for transforming strawberry cultivation into rural livelihood. Named among FAO's 100 Women Heroes from over 600 nominees across 131 countries, she now grows more than 10,000 strawberry plants on two hectares, earning ₹1.5 lakh in her first year.
