MMRDA completes 250m tunnelling for Orange Gate project

MMRDA said it has completed 250 metres of tunnelling for the Orange Gate underground road tunnel project in Mumbai using an advanced Slurry Shield Tunnel Boring Machine. The underground corridor is expected to reduce peak-hour travel time from nearly 40 minutes to around five minutes while easing congestion on key arterial roads across the city.
