MMT fined ₹1.4 lakh after women forced out of villa post check-in

A Chandigarh consumer body directed MakeMyTrip to pay ₹1.40 lakh to four women who were asked to leave a Kasauli villa three hours after check-in. It increased compensation from ₹15,000 awarded by the district commission to ₹1.20 lakh, adding ₹20,000 in litigation costs. The body rejected the platform's claim that it merely facilitated bookings between customers and villa owners.
