MNREDA procures ginger at double rates in Garo Hills

Meghalaya New And Renewable Energy Development Agency (MNREDA) has begun direct procurement of ginger and turmeric from Garo Hills farmers under an ADB-supported programme, offering ₹40 per kg. Around 300 farmers from 18 villages are participating, with produce aggregated by village companies to cut costs, boost incomes and link farmers to value-added markets outside Meghalaya.
