MNS Muslim leader resigns, accuses party of turning 'communal'

A Muslim politician, Majid Shaikh, has tendered his resignation from the Raj Thackeray-led Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) by accusing it of being "more focused on communalism". "Raj saheb was an icon for me...that's why I had joined...in 2009. But now...politics of communalism has crept in MNS," Shaikh said. Notably, the Pune-based politician was an MNS branch head.
