Mob rule being created as politicians assure death penalty for culprits: SC judge Oka

Supreme Court judge Abhay Oka talked about the current state of public discourse and said when an incident happens, political people capitalise on it. "We've created a mob rule," he said. Justice Oka said political leaders visit that particular place and assure people that the death penalty will be given to accused, but the decision power rests with the judiciary.
