Mobile internet users surpass desktop for 1st time

For the first time in history, mobile and tablet devices accounted for 51.3% of internet usage in October compared to 48.7% by desktop globally, according to internet monitoring firm StatCounter. In 2010, less than 5% people accessed the internet via mobiles. In India, 78.05% used mobile internet, 21.18% used desktops, while 0.76% people used tablets to access the internet.
