Mobile recharge prices may rise 10-12% in 3-6 months: Axis Capital

Indian telecom operators may raise tariffs by 10-12% in the next 3-6 months, Axis Capital's Executive Director Gaurav Malhotra said. The timeline was pushed back partly because Airtel's withdrawal of its ₹299 plan will take over a quarter to reflect in revenue, he added. Airtel recently replaced the ₹299 plan with a ₹349 plan, an effective increase of around 16%.
