MoD to penalise HAL over Tejas Mk1A delivery delays

The Ministry of Defence is set to impose penalties on HAL for failing to deliver any Tejas Mk1A fighter jets to the Indian Air Force under a ₹45,696 crore contract signed in 2021. Deliveries were scheduled to begin in February 2024. HAL has blamed delays on General Electric's failure to supply F404-IN20 engines on time.
