Modi govt living in denial over air pollution problem: Congress

Congress accused the Narendra Modi government of refusing to confront the scale of India’s air pollution crisis. Congress leader Jairam Ramesh cited the World Bank’s latest report on air pollution in the Indo-Gangetic Plains and Himalayan foothills. He said the region sees around one million premature deaths annually and economic losses of about 10% of regional GDP each year.
