Modified UDAN scheme announced to connect 120 new destinations

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has announced the modified UDAN scheme to enhance regional connectivity by adding 120 new destinations. UDAN, which stands for Ude Desh ka Aam Naagrik, has enabled 1.5 crore middle class people by connecting 88 airports with 619 routes. The modified scheme will enable 4 crore passengers to fly in next 10 years.
