Modrić becomes 4th footballer to play 200 international matches, joins Ronaldo & Messi

Luka Modrić became first Croatian player and only the fourth men's footballer to play 200 international matches, reaching the milestone during their FIFA World Cup 2026 match against Panama. Portugal's Cristiano Ronaldo tops the list with 230 appearances, followed by Kuwait's Bader Al-Mutawa (202) and Argentina's Lionel Messi (201). Modrić debuted in 2006 and has scored 29 goals for Croatia.
