Mohammad Shami's estranged wife Hasin Jahan approaches SC seeking uniform laws on divorce

Cricketer Mohammad Shami's estranged wife Hasin Jahan approached Supreme Court seeking uniform laws on divorce. She sought to frame guidelines for "gender-neutral religion-neutral uniform grounds of divorce & uniform procedure of divorce for all". Her plea also seeks to declare "unconstitutional" sections in Muslim Personal Law (Shariat) Application Act of 1937 that validate "unilateral divorces".
