Mohanlal to play Bheem in ₹1,000 crore Mahabharata film

Malayalam actor Mohanlal will be seen playing the role of Bheem in 'The Mahabharata', which will be produced on a budget of ₹1,000 crore by UAE-based Indian businessman BR Shetty. The film, based on Malayalam novel Randamoozham, will retell Mahabharata's story from Bheem's perspective. Being directed by VA Shrikumar Menon, the movie is scheduled to release in early 2020.
