Mondelēz to sell some of its gum business to Mentos maker for $1.35 bn
Oreo maker Mondelēz International on Monday said it would sell its gum business, consisting of brands like Trident and Dentyne, in US, Canada and Europe. The business will be acquired by Perfetti Van Melle, maker of Mentos and Chupa Chups, for $1.35 billion. Mondelēz said this is part of the company's plan to focus on chocolates, biscuits and other snacks.
