Money is not the reason why I play chess: World champion Gukesh D
India's 18-year-old Grandmaster Gukesh D, who recently became world chess champion, said he doesn't play chess for money. "It means a lot that we're more comfortable in financial way and my parents don't have to worry about these things...but personally money has never been the reason why I play chess," he added. Gukesh won ₹11.45-crore prize money for championship win.
