Monkeypox suspected in 5-year-old girl in UP, samples sent for testing

A 5-year-old girl in UP's Ghaziabad is suspected to have been infected with the monkeypox virus, the UP government has said, adding that her samples have been sent to ICMR-NIV, Pune for testing. The girl complained of itching and rashes, the state government said. Neither she nor any of her close relatives travelled abroad in the past month, it added.
