Monsoon covers bengal; heavy rain alert in north districts

The southwest monsoon has now covered all of West Bengal, bringing increased rainfall across the state. North Bengal districts, including Jalpaiguri, Alipurduar and Cooch Behar, are under heavy to very heavy rain alerts until June 21. South Bengal is also expected to see more showers and thunderstorms, with rainfall intensity likely to rise after June 19.
