The southwest monsoon has officially covered the entire country, 35 days after it entered India through the Kerala coast on June 4, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said. This year saw the slowest advance of the monsoon since 2021, when it covered the entire country on July 12. As of July 8, India has received normal rainfall during the season.
