Monsoon gets stuck as India sees 28% less rain than normal

Southwest monsoon's progress is reported to stuck with India recording a rainfall deficit of 28% so far this season as an unusual atmospheric pattern slowed its advance and suppressed widespread rain. India recorded 34.3 mm of rainfall against the seasonal average of 47.7 mm between June 4 and 14, as per data released by the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
