Monsoon to reach Andamans around May 14, Kerala in next 15 days

The southwest monsoon is expected to set in over the Andaman Sea and nearby areas around May 14. Once established here, it will likely progress towards Kerala within the next 15 days. This would mark the official onset of monsoon over the Indian mainland. The rains take another 10 days to reach Mumbai and adjoining areas, says an IMD official.
