Morgan Stanley to pay $60 mn to settle suit alleging it exposed users' data

Morgan Stanley has agreed to pay $60 million to settle a data security lawsuit by customers. The class action suit alleges that the bank exposed customers' personal data when it twice failed to properly retire some of its older information technology. As per the settlement, customers can apply for reimbursement of up to $10,000 each in out-of-pocket losses.
