Moroccan footballer gets visa for Spain on day she dies swimming illegally to the country

Twenty-year-old Moroccan footballer Faten Ben Amar El Azizi has been laid to rest after drowning while attempting to illegally swim to the Spanish enclave of Ceuta. Her family said her long-awaited Schengen visa was approved on the very day she died. Mourning her death, her club, Maghreb Atletico Tetuan, said illegal migration has turned "dreams into nightmares".
