Morocco's Diaz breaks record for most assists by an African in FIFA World Cup history

Morocco forward Brahim Diaz has become the first African player to record four or more assists in a single edition of the FIFA World Cup. He achieved the feat during Morocco's 3-0 win over co-host Canada in their FIFA World Cup 2026 Round of 16 clash. Diaz is also Morocco's all-time leading assist-provider at the World Cup.
