Mosquitoes find humans via CO2, not by following each other: Study

Researchers at Georgia Institute of Technology found that mosquitoes do not follow each other, but decide where to fly by independently reacting to visual cues and carbon dioxide. When both signals align, they create strong attraction, triggering swarming and biting behaviour on humans. Notably, the effect was strongest when carbon dioxide was paired with dark objects like black surfaces.
