'Most complete yet' bird fossil found in dinosaur-era amber
Scientists have found a bird fossil in Myanmar, which they describe as the "most complete bird preserved encased in Amber uncovered to date". The 99-million-year-old specimen belongs to the Cretaceous period of dinosaurs' mass extinction. Visible features include skull, neck, one wing, and a hind limb, enough to understand the toothed bird while comparing it to present-day birds, researchers said.
