Most-expensive South-Korean film, 'Hope', was made for ₹400 crore

Sci-fi thriller 'Hope', directed by Na Hong-jin, was made on a reported $46 million budget (approximately ₹434.6 crore), making it the most expensive South Korean film ever. The film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival on May 17, 2026, with a highly polarising and divided critical reception. The film will be released in Indian theatres on September 25, 2026.
