Most precise calculation of Universe's expansion rate made
Astronomers using NASA's Hubble Space Telescope have made the most precise calculation of Hubble constant, which indicates Universe's expansion rate. The new data confirms the Universe is expanding at a 9% faster rate than the prediction of 67 kilometres per second per megaparsec. The team reduced the uncertainty in Hubble constant value to 1.9% from last year's estimate of 2.2%.
