Mother elephant rescues calf swept away by river; video surfaces

A mother elephant rushed to rescue her one-month-old calf after it was swept away by the current of the Kosi River while the herd crossed it in the Ramnagar-Corbett landscape. A video shared online showed the mother using her trunk to support and guide the calf to safety. Corbett Tiger Reserve Director Saket Badola said elephants have strong maternal instincts.
