Mother elephant struggles to accept calf’s death, seen dragging body in video

Indian Forest Services officer Parveen Kaswan shared a video of a grief-stricken mother elephant with her dead calf in a forest. "Grief isn't uniquely human. Elephant Mother isn't able to comprehend the death of her calf. She keeps dragging the body for some time," Kaswan captioned the video. "They're so like us. Mourning, remembering, refusing to let go," he added.
