Mother kills 6‑year‑old son seen as obstacle in Maharashtra

A 27-year-old woman and her live-in partner killed her six-year-old son in Kuruli, Maharashtra by banging his head against a bathroom wall and drowning him in a bucket. They later claimed he died of a heart attack. Suspicion from relatives led police to investigate, and the woman confessed. She is in custody, while her partner is absconding.
