'Mother of orphans' Sindhutai Sapkal passes away at 73, PM Modi expresses grief

Social worker Sindhutai Sapkal, fondly known as 'mother of orphans', passed away following a heart attack aged 73 on Tuesday. She's credited with setting up of numerous institutes for the welfare of orphans, and has raised over 1,050 orphan children. PM Narendra Modi tweeted, "Dr. Sindhutai Sapkal will be remembered for her noble service to society. Pained by her demise."
