Mother's testimony sends son to jail for father's murder in UP

Bareilly court in UP sentenced a son, Chhatrapal, to life imprisonment for killing his father over land dispute. The attack took place in April 2025, when Chhatrapal used a sickle during argument, the victim died on way to hospital. The accused's mother later testified against him, and the judge also imposed a fine of ₹1 lakh on him.
